Hi everyone,
I just set up my new (to me) 2002 SVT classic head with my 810E cabinet. It sounds great! But, there is a funny little electronic noise that almost sounds like someone is running a DC motor in the house. There isn't one operating, by the way. It comes when there is input from my bass, then goes away a few seconds after I stop.
My first thought is I need to replace the 12AX7/12AU7 tubes. They are all original from 2002 and it seems like it might be a microphonic issue with one of them since it only makes noise when it's sitting on a cabinet that is vibrating.
Any other ideas?
