Good day to everyone !
I recently acquired a nice condition 1968 GV22 with Jensen C12n's. Although the condition of these speakers certainly look like they could be from 68 (minor corrosion, pitting on basket surface, etc....)I have read one or two opinions that the GV22 never came with these speakers as stock.
And concerning the serial numbers on the Jensens............ apparently their codes don't show which decade a speaker was made, just the year. So I guess my code 220832 could theoretically be 68,78,88..... But given the overall condition of the amp which still retained the original owners manual, final inspection and wiring tags. It seems plausible that these are the original speakers. Opinions ?
