2 4ohm cabs = 2 ohm setting?

I'm thinking of running 2 4x12s with my v4. Each cab has 16ohm speakers wired for a 4ohm load. Do I use the 2 ohm setting on the v4?

Yes. The ext speaker is wired in parallel with the speaker out when they are bkth being used. Two equal resistances in parallel half, So 4R(ohm) and 4R in parallel are "seen" as a 2R load. Use the 2 Ohm setting here.
