Converting 2-prong to 3-prong in V-series
#1
I recall reading an old article on the ampegV4 forum about converting the 2-prong wire to 3-prong (grounded) config. There was like a detailed step-by-step run down on what to do, including removing the infamous "death cap." Can anyone relay that info on this forum for the world (and me Big Grin) to easily find, again? I have a couple of early-70's V-series amps that need to be brought to the 21st century (in terms of safety) and would like to have the right info for my tech before he goes jimmy-rigging the damn amps!

Also, I picked up some 14AWG power cable to go along with some snazzy Marinco power connectors and I'd like to know the measurements for the strain relief for this wire. It seems like the V-series amps used 18AWG power cable, so I'd like to find suitable strain relief for this cordage.

Thanks in advance!
