i have a friend who bought a 2x12 ampeg from tommy kiefer's ex wife. i havnt seen it. i think he said it's a b12xt?
from the description i was given it's all black without the chrome or gold trim and has the round knobs w/ the silver centers like the late 60's. jensen speakers. he said "wedding cake" cabinet. he says either the vibrato or the treble doesnt have the asterisk or lock at full on? i think he wants 1000 bucks for it. i'm wondering if it's been re-covered or the trim removed. he says theres no sign of the trim ever being there. it has different handles. i think he said leather handles?
good investment?
despite my love for these amps; i cant imagine the value increasing much from 1K.
here in jersey these are increasing in value tho.
theres a beat up ampeg labled "super echo twin" on my local craigslist for 1k. i couldnt confirm if it was an echo twin or a super echo twin from the pics. i wouldnt know the difference but i would love to try two vibrato's...
