Hey All! I have a VT-22 that I'd like to convert to a head. I'd be willing to pay cash or trade/sell my VT-22 cabinet (no speakers). I'm in the Chicago area if that helps.
Also, for now I'm looking for advice on locating the proper side mounting screws for the VT-22 chassis, as the screws in mine appear to be incorrect. Any help with sizes or photos of the correct screws would be of great help to me. Thanks!

I'm sorry that this will only be so much help - but for side mounting screws that bolt into the chassis 'plates' through the cab...for mine, I just took the ones I had to the hardware store and tested them in the tester screw slots until I find the right one. It's a pretty standard size/threaded screw. I got ones with fairly decent pan head, and they were philips type...but they fit perfectly, and I don't mind the pan head. It's been so long I forgot what the originals were like by now altogether, though.

Fliptops should have them. My V4b was trashed when i got it...got mine from them. Same chassis...i'm sure they would be the same bolts.
edit: they probably have your headbox too. Make sure you measure it though. IIRC, the v4 and v2 chassis were different.

something to consider, I have made 2 amp head cabinets now for ampegs. a v2 and gv22. You can buy birch ply and all the parts and tolex and hardware for like 50 bucks. Its not hard to do as old ampegs aren't exactly fancy or hard to do. Its basically a square box. I'm no woodworker either. I did the whole project in less then a day. Then you can keep the cabinet or sell it whole or for parts to cover your expenses.
