WTB Blue Diamond Vinyl / Tolex
#1
I'm certain this subject has been beaten to death, but I am compelled to to try. I know that Fliptops and Vintage Blue are no longer selling the blue diamond tolex material, so I'm throwing this out to the forum: Do any of you know where I can buy some? I need enough to recover an old B-18N. Conversely, I would also consider the purchase of a large quantity of blue diamond if someone wants to sell their stock. PM me with quantity available and price. I'm located in Everett, Washington.

Thanks!

have you checked if Loud Technologies would sell some?

I looked up Loud Technologies (who owns Ampeg) and they directed me to Ampeg's website, and they directed me to their authorized service center (Morgan Sound) and Morgan told me that "there are no original parts like this available". They suggested that I look at Antique Electronic Supply, who of course, don't have it either (as I already knew).
So, I'm back to trying to buy some from an independant repair / restoration shop, as the "official" sources don't carry it.

Gosh, I hadn't realized the blue diamond stuff had become so hard to find!

American Music is also a Loud technologies Authorized service center. I don't work there anymore, but I'll get a hold of Tom the Service manager and see what he has to say. I"ll CC you in the email.
