Ampeg Gemini II
#1
I am the original owner of a late 60's Gemini II.
It is missing it's fuse. What size fuse does it require?

Also I want to replace the 15" speaker. What would be a good replacement? I would need the brand and source.

Thanks for any input

The schematic says its a 3 amp fuse. should be an MDL series fuse.

regarding the speaker, all the Gemini II amplifiers that I have seen come with a pretty nice Jensen. what speaker does yours have and what don't you like about it? helps to give a frame of reference.

The problem with the speaker is about 40 years ago it received a dent in the paper cone from a of all things a drum stick.I think it's time to replace it. Also what does MDL stand for when I buy the fuse?
Thanks for the input

you could always have the Jensen re-coned. Those are really nice sounding speakers IMO.

for MDL fuse info click this ->MDL fuses

MDL is the series of fuse that is used in that amp. They are a certain size, they are time delayed, they are glass, etc...
