So if you add 3 V-4’s and 3 V-2’s, does that equal V-18?!?!

Not sure the math works that way. When I worked the problem I found that the answer was 18 cases of Tinnitus. Unclear whether that is 18 individuals (36 ears), or just 18 ears (9 individuals). Modern math confuses me.
